APE CUSTOMER POLICY

PAYMENT - All domestic orders will be shipped UPS or US Post Office, at the discretion of APE. COD's will be sent "secure payment" - accepting US Postal Money Order or cashier's check only. APE will not send COD's by UPS overnight or two-day express. Items mus be pre-paid to be shipped UPS overnight or two-day express. APE accepts Western Union funds for those needing parts quickly. Call for further information. We reserve the right to require a deposit before making any shipment. Deposits should be in the form of U.S Postal money orders, or Western Union money transfer. Cashiers checks, money orders, and personal checks take up to 3 weeks to clear before we can ship parts. Dealer orders will be COD "cashiers check" unless other arrangements have been made. We do not offer open accounts. A $5.00 service charge will apply to all orders under $20.00

CREDIT CARDS - APE accepts Visa and Mastercard only.  Maximum single purchase on a card is $500.00, until the customer is an established/recurring customer. APE will only accept credit card orders from the actulal registered cardholder. APE will ship only to the credit card billing address. APE may require proof of card ownership, by fax copy of card and photo I.D. All credit card mail order purchases can only be shipped to the billing address of the card. No exceptions. Dealers wishing to use credit cards fo purchases, please contact our order desk for details.

OVERSEAS ORDERS - All  orders placed outside the USA are pre-paid only. APE will supply the customer with a pro-forma invoice, guessing the amount of freight. The pro-forma will be honored for 30 days after invoice date. If funds are not received by then, the order will be canceled, and future order will be subject to all price increases established during that time. Pre-payment by Bank wire or Western Union only. APE accepts Visa and Mastercard for small orders (max. $300.00), and freight charges, with proof of card ownership, and residence/billing address. Some countries do not qualify. WARRANTY - Due to the nature of our product line and their intended usage, it is impossible to warrant high performance and / or racing parts. There is therefore, no warranty written or implied, on any product manufactured or sold by American Performance Engineering Inc. All descriptions in this catalog as to function, are for reference only and are not a guarantee. American Performance Engineering Inc. will assume no responsibility for personal injury, labor, or other injury arising out of usage of any product we manufacture or sell. APE shall not, under any circumstances, be liable for any special, incidental or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, damages or loss of goods, or claims of customers of the purchaser which may arise and/or result from the sale, installation or use of these parts.By purchasing and / or installing the product, the buyer agrees to all of these terms.

With that out of the way, if a defect in workmanship or materials is found before installation, please contact us and we will replace it after inspection in our plant. APE has the best reputation in the industry for fairness in this area.

In most cases, high performance parts are not legal for use on public highways. Check your local laws before ordering. Use of products in this catalog, is purely at the sole discretion of the buyer.

SHIPPING - APE ships by UPS or US Post Office only, using our own established accounts. APE will not use a customer's freight account. We are aware of the increasing cost of freight and APE will pick the least expensive, best service available for your needs at the time of shipping. There is a $20.00 surcharge for all shipments through the US Postal service. First time orders cannot ship Next Day Air. Again, APE will not send COD's by UPS overnight or two day express. The order must be pre-paid for this type of shipping. We accept Western Union funds for those needing parts quickly.

BACK ORDERS - We do not cancel back orders unless requested to do so. When out of stock orders come in, back orders are shipped first. Please let us know if you do not want a back order, or you will be responsible for all freight charges incurred if parts are returned.

RETURNS - No returns after 30 days from invoice date. There are few exceptions, to be determined by APE's CFO.

Returns within 30 days; You must call APE sales office to return a product. APE will only accept a return that has an authorized RA number.  All returns must be accompanied by a copy of the APE invoice. All returns will be inspected upon receipt and a credit/refund will be determined by APE. Returns due to shipping error or manufacturing defects will be replaced as soon as possible. Parts returned, within 30 days, for any other reason, must be in perfect condition and in the original packaging. Parts returned within 30 days are subject to a 20% ($5.00 minimum) restocking charge. APE products purchased from another reseller must be returned through that company only. Absolutely no returns on custom made parts, or parts not listed on our website. All legitimate returns will be handled as a credit to the customer for future orders. No refunds will be issued, unless it is determined to be from an APE error.

CLAIMS - If damage occurs to any item during transit, it is the responsibility of the carrier. Responsibility for the goods is passed from the shipper to the carrier when the carrier leaves the point of pickup. All claims must be made with the carrier. Do not discard the shipping box or container as the claims rep will want to see it. Our staff will help you with your claim any way we can.
