WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

The PRO H BEAM rod is the strongest connecting rod money can buy. No stronger rod is available anywhere, at any price. It features the unique H Beam design that requires more machining operations than other designs. This design provides a rod that is not only the strongest, but is up to 50 grams lighter than the inferior OEM rods it is replacing.

The SPORTSMAN A BEAM rod was designed for the budget hot rod street bike that needs a rod far stronger than stock, but not in the league of the H Beam. The A Beam design is easier to machine, therefore lowering manufacturing costs. The bolts are made from high-tensile tool steel. If you stay within the bolt strecth parameters that Carrillo provides with these rods, these bolts should last up to twelve torque cycles.

WHICH SHOULD I USE?

If you are building a hot rod street bike (normally aspirated, turbo. etc) and it will see occasional strip use, then the Sportsman A Beam will work for you. If it is a serious big-power bike seeing lots of track time, and the engine will be taken down from time to time to inspect bearings etc. then go with Pro H Beams.
